In 2017, after being home recovering from back surgery,  I originally turned to baking as a form of solace.

“To occupy my time I would bake.  “I was watching shows like Cake Boss and Cupcake Wars. It really piqued my interest. I would think, ‘I can do this stuff,’ and I just started experimenting in the kitchen to keep myself busy.

​

From there, I spent more time in the kitchen baking and cooking , trying to use my longtime hobby as a form of therapy. And after a while, it started to look like less of hobby and more of a viable option for the future.

“I said, ‘OK, I’ve got to do something."

 

I began to share my creations with friends and family to get their opinion. I also brought products to the local Beauty Salons, Barbershop, etc  in my community to see how they would fare with an outside audience, and the response was hugely positive.

And that's how Simply Devine Desserts & More was created..
